DSD New Releases from Crossbone Cuts

So...many...products! It's DSD weekend, so naturally I've cleared my schedule (except for that dratted football game) to partake in as many events as possible. One such event is, of course, shopping the sales and new goodies/grab bags.  Crossbone Cuts has a whopping *THREE* new grab bags in ScrapMatters today! First up is a collab with WM[squared], perfect for wintry pictures. All of the grab bags have a full reveal in the shop for the more impatient among us :)

Next us is a template grab bag, also a collab with WM[squared].

Tanya also has a PU grab bag, filled with various element types.

I used both these grab bags in making this next double pager:

That's all for now - I'm off to get some scrapping done!

Recent Pages...Pre- and Post-Disney

Although I brought my computer to Florida, I really only had time to empty the memory card every night and back up my pictures. It's hard, because while I now have a ton of fresh pictures to scrap (I made the list - between the Halloween parties and the 108 characters (!!!), the preliminary page count is 136), I still haven't finished my Italy book or my May Disney trip.  Alas, such woe - too many things to scrap :D

Another Italy page - the progress on this is slower than I would have hoped. It'll get done, though - I have like  a week and a half in Jackson at Christmas time where I can get a ton of scrapping done (I don't do winter sports, so much inside time).

I've also been working a bit on this trip. Perhaps ill-advised, but so many pictures and new things to scrap! Have a mentioned I've been character stalking? 108 CHARACTERS. New ones. Does anyone have a good kit for the 7 Dwarves, Tarzan and Jane, the Step Family, Prince Phillip, Duffy, Playhouse Disney characters, Phineas and Ferb? Or Sugar Ray. There was a Sugar Ray concert that we stumbled upon - the lead singer is also a cowbell player, so cowbell elements would be super cool.

Did I mention we met six princes, Tarzan, Terrence/Peter Pan (let's be honest, same nose and frantic energy) and the Mad Hatter? SO MANY MALE FACE CHARACTERS. Also, they were approximately ten times more fun than the princesses. Actually, all the male characters are a lot more fun when you travel without your parents. Chip checked my hand for a wedding ring; Max walked off with us, got chastised by Goofy, who then took us for himself; King Louie was a total player; Duffy also tried to remove us from the Halloween party; and Handy Manny (!) tried to take us off as his dinner dates. I kind of wanted to see the looks on the preschoolers' faces for that one.

Scrappily Me CT!

It's been a while since I updated (a trip to Disney will do that), but I have news in the meantime.  I'm now a member of Scrappily Me's CT. Patty's shop will be opening in January at Berry Sweet Scraps. I'm so looking forward to this - everyone else on the team is so sweet!

Burly & Brawny

In approximately 24 hours, I will be on a plane approaching Orlando. Sister trip to the Halloween party! And one of the things on our list is meeting some of the villains. Crossbone Cuts' newest kit Burly & Brawny is perfect for scrapping pictures of Gaston. Or Butterbeer. Or Germany, Canada, or the Jungle Cruise. Super versatile.

Here's a page I scrapped with it - the elements and colors were juster perfect for the Butterbeer stand at WWoHP.

Travel The World Alpha

Another new release from Crossbone Cuts - Travel the World Alpha! This week is the release of an alpha that came with the September ScrapMatters newsletter.  It's super cute - I love the acrylic.

Here's a page I made with it - so perfect for World Showcase.

One That Makes Me Happy

When I heard this in my happy, fuzzy state on Monday night, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these words (besides photographing them on my television and testing its television capture skills). I think I might print it out and add it to my door.

Legal Now

So this is my first post as a fully legal adult! And I mean legal in the now I can go to bars and figure out loop holes of blue laws and such (answer: nearest Walmart in a different state is 15 minutes away). I've also been scrapping - so much scrapping! Fall tv started back up, and this is what I do during commercials. Realistically, I should be translating hieroglyphs, but that's neither here nor there.

Weekly Layouts

It's a delightful Friday night here in the Bend - it's an cold 55 degrees (I've had to bust out the leather jacket) and I'm stuck inside with a cold. But there is football tomorrow, and we're due for a win. Right? Sigh. In addition to a paper analyzing a letter of Pliny's, here is what I have been up to this week. Mousescrappers Speed Scrap:

One of the coolest pages I have made, color-wise:

Fall - The Bundle

Crossbone Cuts has a new seasonally appropriate collection out today, and I had the opportunity to play with it a bit. There are two coordinating parts - I Heart Fall and Fall Fail. It's perfect - one is appropriate for autumns up north, where our campus becomes the most gorgeous place in the Midwest while the leaves change, and the smaller Fall Fail add-on is perfect for fall breaks back home, where it's still hot and sunny. Fun fact: in Houston, we lose our leaves in the spring. When the new green leaves push out the old green leaves. Yay seasons? Both kits are also bundled up together for a discount.

And here are a few layouts I made using these kits. The first is from Diana's and my trip to the museum over fall break.

And this one I made tonight for the 9/16 Roadmap to Scrap. Not quite during the fall, but still perfect for a nature page.

I'll probably end up using this kit again after my fall break trip to WDW - Diana and I are going to be hitting up the Halloween party!

An Off Week for Me

Off as in I don't have a lot of assignments or stress. I've been still scrapping diligently, as the September double points at ScrapMatters is irresistible. So many things being accomplished! I also picked out my 125 favorite photos from last semester and had them printed, so in a week or so I'll have a lovely collage for my wall. There are still several decorating type things I need to get done this weekend, though.

I always kind of figured that my love for the Ara Pacis would spill out onto two pages, and now I know I wasn't mistaken. At some point, I'll type up all of my notes and add them to the pictures of me with the monument (and just the straight up monument).
