Crossbone Cuts - Tiny Outline Alpha Release

As I mentioned earlier, I made it onto Tanya's CT! I've been loving her designs for a while now, and I'm so pleased to be able to work with them. This week, she has a new alpha out, Tiny Outline Alpha.  It's quite perfect for adding some extra "oomph" to a title.

Here's a layout using it and also last week's collab with WM Squared designs, Peace, Love & Flip Flops. I've been meaning to scrap these pictures for a while (out of order, yes, but it's a volcano and it's practically science that everyone loves volcanoes).

Guest CT Spot for Digital Paper Press

A few weeks ago I got a two week gig for the new store Digital Paper Press; all I could scrap in two weeks. And scrap I did! Now that Digital Paper Press is finally launching, I can share all the layouts I made with Casey's gorgeous kits! They were so much fun to work with, and I'm really happy with how the kits worked out.  Also, on the blog today Casey is running a contest - just leave a comment saying where you heard about it, and you could win a free kit. For the rest of the week everything is 35% off, and there will be other giveaways and freebies. Today there are some quickpages free to download, available for a short time.

The first kit I had the chance to work with was "Abby." The bright, girly colors immediately drew me in.

It's just perfect for princesses, right?

There's also a lot of softer shades that made it perfect for these old photos of my sister and I when we were little.

Next I was able to work with Casey's newest kit, On the Road Again.

I've been a bit remiss about my Italy book, so I scrapped a page using photos of our tour bus.  I loved the papers for this one.

The papers and elements here also made it really easy to do a timeline of our roadtrip from a few years ago.

Next I scrapped with Birds of a Feather, which is another sweet and girly kit. I especially love the little alpha.

I found these cute old photos from the first time I tried to ski, and it just went so well with the pinks in the snowsuits.

The pinks also worked really well for a Marie page.

I am extra pleased with these last two pages, made with Birthday Wish. The colors are so bright and cheerful!

Here's a birthday themed page:

It also worked well with a non-birthday page. I've been meaning to make this page for a while, but I just needed some bright colors. Last summer, my mom had a handful of free tickets to various local museums, so she and I spent the day hitting all of them for various exhibits. Since we'd been to them all before, we were able to have a nice, low key day.

New Layouts and a CT Position!

So last weekend I officially became a member of Tanya's Crossbone Cuts CT! She has a store here at ScrapMatters full of really vibrant kits. I'm so excited for this fun opportunity. I've been following her designing for a while now and am really looking forward to working with her and her designs. In the mean time, I've been busy working on a few layouts for using her kits.  First one I did was with In My Garden and In My Garden Add-On for a ScrapMatters Tuesday Template challenge.

By this point, I already figured I was going to be throwing myself wholeheartedly into ScrapMatters, so I figured I may as well try out a few more challenges there, such as a Roadmap to Scrap. It was basically like a Mousescrappers weekly challenge, but without the Disney theme. Have I mentioned I like structure and rules? It might be a complex at this point. This was made using You're a Peach and You're a Peach Add-On.

Also, I ended up hanging around on Monday and running into a speed scrap. Obviously kismet. This one was made with Tanya's newest collaboration with WM Squared Designs, Peace, Love & Flip Flops - The Bundle (it also comes non-bundled, but the extras are just so fun).

That's all for now. I'm heading out of town for a few days to visit my grandparents, but I do have a few more layouts to post later this week that I'll be back for. I might even figure out the scheduling feature for blog posts...or maybe not. My flight tomorrow is rather early.

Layouts

I caved and got a new kit this week (I've been trying to hold off as best as I can). But the lure of Harry Potter anything has proved too strong, so I've been playing around with Jady Day Studio's new kit, A Wizarding World. It's just so pretty. I feel like I could scrap probs a hundred pages or more with it (and next up on the list is the lyrics to "Back to Hogwarts" - what can I say, I'm a dork).  As I have not had time for hundreds, here's just two. The first was created for this last digidare, about why one scrapbooks/one's scrapbooking journey.

And, on a less serious note, the continuation of Disney/Harry Potter 2011 is occurring at a slow pace.

Scraplift Page and More

So this last week, in addition to frantic costume making, a Harry Potter movie marathon and seeing the new movie twice (I cried), I decided for no real reason to re-read the collected works of Meg Cabot. I'm 23 in out of the 47 my sister and I have, although I'll probs be skipping Airhead and Queen of Babble (not because I didn't like it, but because I can't read a romance like that where - SPOILER - she doesn't stay with the guy in the sequels, as he's actually a jerk). Next up will be the Avalon High + manga, Mediator, and the historical romances. I've also got to go track down her new ones (Insatiable, Overbite, and Abandon).

I have been making pages, I swear - I just have to hold off another week before sharing them. In the meanwhile, I have a couple more pages. This one I did for Wenrob's scraplift challenge over at Mousescrappers:

This is a page I did a while ago, but had to reopen to save for printing and figured I'd post as well:

Digi Dare #235

I heard about the Digi Dares a while away, and I love the idea behind them. I just haven't gotten around to trying them - until this week.  The challenge was to use a photo booth style picture strip.

And for Britt's speed scrap last Wednesday, I made this page:
